If you want your deck built right and built well, hire Mark. Mark's bid for our deck was on par with two other contractors we interviewed, but what set him apart was (1) he was on time for our initial consultation; (2) at that same meeting, he drew a draft to scale of the proposed deck to include ideas on furniture placement; (3) he knew exactly what the Reston Association needed in terms of paperwork and application materials, and (4) one of the references he provided was the owner of the tile company I hired to install the floor and backsplash in my kitchen remodel. If he hired Mark to do his deck, I knew I had the right person for my own deck.
